Private Virtual Screening of “How The Land Remembers Us”

BY INVITATION ONLY

For ALL donors who contribute during our Year End campaign (from November 1 through December 31), you will be invited to participate in a Virtual Film Screening of “How The Land Remembers Us” – directed by Jared Wahkinney – a member of the Comanche Nation and one of two Distinguished Alumni for Native American Jump Start.

Jared received funding support from Native American Jump Start in 2019 and in 2024 to help pursue his educational and career goals.  Jared currently works for the National Park Service as the first Indigenous Communities Project Manager.  Outside of his professional role with the Park Service, he is an aspiring Film Maker and recently produced How the Land Remembers Us about Indigenous artists and community members gathering in Yellowstone Park for a week in August in 2022. During that time, they camped together, set up teepees at the Madison Junction entrance and shared projects grounded in traditional ecological knowledge and ceremony.
