Whitehawk Antique Indian & Ethnographic Art Show and Native American Jump Start Partner to Provide Critical Funding Support for Native American Students and Job Seekers
Santa Fe, NM / Jackson, WY – Whitehawk Antique Indian & Ethnographic Art Show (WHS) and Native American Jump Start (NAJS) today announced a partnership for the 2026 Antique Indian & Ethnographic Art Show that will expand access to higher education and career development for Native American students and employment seekers. This collaboration aims to give back to the Native American community and reduce financial and logistical barriers that often prevent Native individuals from pursuing academic and professional opportunities.
The WHS has been a Santa Fe tradition for over 48 years. Bringing together more than 130 of the world’s most knowledgeable experts. Visitors will be exposed to thousands of select historic art objects from Native American and other indigenous cultures from around the world.
Owned and organized by Mr. Kim Martindale, the show has steadily built an international reputation for offering the best of the best, attracting buyers, collectors and museum curators from all corners of the world. Mr. Martindale says “the Whitehawk Show in Santa Fe is excited to announce this partnership, where we are creating a culture of philanthropy amongst the historic Native American art community. Native American Jump Start will provide the show an opportunity to directly impact the Native American community by providing support to high potential students and prospective employees as they pursue higher education and employment opportunities.”
Native American Jump Start, a Jackson, WY-based nonprofit, is dedicated to creating opportunities for growth and success among high-potential Native Americans through education and employment support. Founded in 1996 by Scott Evans (Ysleta del Sur Pueblo) and his wife, Pam, along with Beverly Medhaug (Sicangu Rosebud Sioux Tribe) and her husband, Cal, the organization has provided more than $1,000,000 in financial assistance to over 1,000 Native American individuals. This partnership will provide critically needed funding to Native American Jump Start to support a variety of grant programs administered by the organization.
“Partnering with the Whitehawk Antique Indian & Ethnographic Art Show—and the generosity of Kim Martindale, —means a tremendous amount to us as an organization,” said NAJS co-founder Scott Evans. “This partnership will help us raise critical funds and increase awareness so we can support even more high-potential Native students and job seekers.” David Deschenes, Advancement Officer for NAJS said, “Our theme for the event is A.R.T. – which represents Appreciation, Respect and Tradition ®. We know the passion of this historic art community and hope to instill the values of Appreciation, Respect and appreciation of Tradition. Through these values and the generosity of this community, we will be able to directly impact the Native American community”.
